Mallorca has a lot of beautiful beaches (of course, you are visiting an island!)

A large number of beautiful, clean beaches, 45 of them has a blue flag recognition.

What is the blue flag?

The blue flag is a recognition, a way of certifying the environmental quality of beaches, granted by an international fury to those beaches who has specific codes of legality, accessibility, cleanliness and safety provided with a suitable environmental information and management.

The jury who decides with beach deserves the blue flag, is presided by the FEE (Foundation of Environmental Education). The participants include, among to others, the united nations tourism organization.

The blue flag campaign was created in France in 1982 and its developed nowadays all over the world. The blue flag programe also works to promote the cooperation between the sector of tourism and of the environment al a local, regional & national level. An so through the years, the flue flag has become the environmental distinction and award most valued and recognized on a universal level by both tour site and tour operators.


In the Balearic islands we have 45 beaches that has blue flags recognition: Sa Coma, Cala Agulla, Sant Elm, Es trenc… and much much more!
kilometers of white sandy beaches and blue clear waters. Also you can enjoy pretty beaches with sand beach baked by pine trees in the north east of Mallorca.
